Matthew Ulterino is an urban planner experienced in integrating sustainability into planning policy and controls, and working with private developers to deliver ‘green’ master planning and building design for projects in Australia, U.S., U.K. and U.A.E. Matthew previously held senior consulting positions with EDAW and Sinclair Knight Merz. He holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University.

Matthew has provided planning support for projects requiring on-site renewable energy generation and sustainability certification, as well as setting environmental design standards for large scale master plans and institutional / portfolio requirements. He has undertaken policy review and strategy studies for governmental organisations relating to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and vulnerability from and adaptation to climate change impacts. Matthew has written on and spoken at numerous industry events and forum on sustainable urban planning and green building design.
